The design: A complementary color scheme of yellow-green and violet-red was used for this project. This lively combination conjures a feeling of intentional surprise. The site will be a surprise to those who think fairy tales are children's stories rather than sociologically important and historical documents. The stories are surprising, as the ancient version of the Snow White tale offered here, "The Death of the Seven Dwarves". The typeface Chapbook was used to suggest both historical and popular culture content.
